Turn off the lights

Nope, that subject is not a reference to that bad Nellie Furtado song from a few years back. I have no interest in bringing that or her awful like a bird song back from well-deserved obscurity.

You, yes YOU, should be turning off all lights tomorrow from 8pm-9pm, your local time.

Our lights will definitely be off, though really because we won't be there. We're going to see a show in an effort to reconnect with our artsy, creative sides. I wonder if we can convince the Company to perform by candlelight...

In other news, Milo got a new toy for Easter.

His name is Charlie the monkey.

Milo does not know what life was like before Charlie came into his world.

He really only has eyes for him.

And he looks funny with a laundry basket on his head, too.

For those of you who live under a rock and haven't heard of lolcats, here's an example:

Photos like this keep my smirk alive after realizing that the conference at which my company is exhibiting and I am forced to attend is keeping me from enjoying Cubs games and vacation plans.

Work keeps getting in the way of my life.

Luckily cat photos with funny captions even it all out.

Talented Friends

My coworker is really great at design, and in her spare time, she's taken up creating invitations, party favors, etc. for all kinds of occasions. She recently launched a website.

It's in Spanish AND English, so don't freak out when you see one foreign word and leave the page. It's still in development and I need to get on the ball and write some interesting ad copy for the site.

All this is indeed a plug for anyone who'd like to use Linda's services as well as an excuse to show you this photo she used for practice.

This was originally a photo of me playing the Wii over Christmas, but now it's a fun piece of pop art that would be a GREAT customized party invitation. You can see other examples of her work on her site.

Email Linda now for your very own Warhol-esque party invites!

Have I mentioned that she has a website?
